ATLANTA - Chipper Jones is hoping his knee kicks back into shape quickly. Two days after the Atlanta Braves infielder announced this is his final season, Jones underwent arthroscopic surgery to fix a torn meniscus.
As a result, he's going to start the season on the disabled list.
Braves general manager Frank Wren says Jones should be able to return to the field for the team's home opener on April 13.
Last year Jones had to sit out for two weeks after he had arthroscopic surgery on his other knee.
