ATHENS - New details have emerged about the security breach of a UGA database two months ago. The alleged hacker is a former UGA student who appears to have killed himself last month while the investigation was underway. 

Authorities offer encouraging news to UGA students and employees whose accounts were compromised, saying that none of the information appears to have left the suspect's possession. Those with hacked accounts are still urged to take security precautions.
